\\WHO/WHAT DOES IDYLLWILD STRONG BENEFIT?

For the inaugural event in 2018, Idyllwild Strong raised over $41,000 for victims of the Cranston and Ribbon fires. A grant application system was established by local 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Young Idyllwild Inc. Over 20 applications were received and voted on anonymously by the YII board and members of the Idyllwild Strong team. This year, we are partnering with both YII and another local nonprofit The Idyllwild Help Center. The Help Center offers food, medical assistance, a children's fund, assistance with utilities, split firewood, homeless shelters, and also a Women's Cabinet sponsored by Soroptimist International of Idyllwild. With their guidance, we will be giving back to the families and individuals most impacted by the recent devastation to our mountain. The festival also brings much needed revenue to the local inns, restaurants and other shops around Idyllwild.

 

 

\\FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE

Last year the fire truck was a big hit with everyone. For some, the highlight of their Idyllwild Strong experience was riding around town atop a decommissioned 1970s fire truck. There will be designated pick up and drop off locations for both the fire truck and a local shuttle service. We're working on making it as easy as possible for attendees to visit all of our amazing local establishments.

\\ADA ACCESS

Idyllwild is a mountain community, the roads are often bumpy and we don't have the same amount of sidewalks as an incorporated city. That being said, all venues have blue labeled parking nearby and will accommodate any and all ADA needs.

 

 

\\ATMS

There are several ATMs around town at Compass Bank, Village Market, Mountain Top Liquor and others. They will be clearly marked in the festival program.

 

 

\\TICKETING

The Idyllwild Strong Benefit Festival is free and open to all ages. Pets are also welcome (please see pet policy below)

 

 

\\MERCHANDISE AVAILABILITY ON SITE

Every stage will have a merch tent nearby where you can donate to the benefit, purchase various festival merchandise, purchase drink tickets (with I.D.), bid on auction items and also purchase special VIP wristbands.

 

 

\\WRISTBANDS

We will have special wristbands available at designated merch tents mentioned above. These wristbands will give you a 10% discount at participating businesses (which will be clearly marked in the free festival program) and also come with other goodies, depending on the tier you choose. More info to come.

 

 

\\ENTRY & SECURITY

Entry is free for everyone of all ages. We want everyone to enjoy the weekend and also be able to support our local businesses. There will be private security as well as police and other first responders. If you need assistance, they're there for you. And if you see our local first responders as you're out and about, please tell them "thank you" for all they've done to help Idyllwild.

 

 

\\ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

With valid I.D., alcoholic beverages will be sold in beer gardens located at assorted venues in town. There are also multiple surrounding bars and restaurants within a short walk, all of which can be found on the #Dining page and will also be clearly marked on the festival program.

 

 

\\WEATHER

This event is rain or shine. The majority of the stages are outdoors. We will be keeping a close eye on the weather and will act accordingly if it poses any risks. Our number one concern is the safety of all attendees, performers and crew.

 

 

\\PET POLICY

Idyllwild is a very pet friendly town. There is a dog park located just down the road from Main Stage but feel free to bring your leashed pet around town. Most restaurants will accommodate and some even offer a doggie menu. Some of the local inns will also allow pets, just ask upon booking. Please be courteous and pick up after your animals as you enjoy the town. And possibly leave the emotional support alligator at home this time.

Illegal substances of any kind are strictly prohibited. No weapons of any kind without proper permit to carry. No drones. Only organizers of Idyllwild Strong and its partners are allowed to film by drone. No professional photography without consent from Idyllwild Strong.
